Aryna Sabalenka strategy to Become World No.1 After Iga Swiatek Return to Form

Aryna Sabalenka has had a remarkable rise in this past year. She was able to improve her weaknesses, and has emerged as one the fiercest rivals on the court.

The Belarusian, who is currently World No.2, looks to be the only player capable of challenging Iga Swaiatek for her No.1 ranking. She is also eager to reach the top of the WTA Singles Rankings. This will be a tough challenge as Iga is in a good form.

Iga Swaiatek has won both the Qatar Open as well as the Stuttgart Open in this season. Aryna Sablalenka recently lost to the Polish tennis pro in the Stuttgart final. The WTA Tour has arrived in Madrid, Spain for the Madrid Open tournament.

In a recent interview, she said that it will not be easy to beat Iga Swaiatek as the world’s number one. In a interview she gave recently she stated that it would not be easy to beat Iga Swiatek’s record at the Madrid Open.

“Iga’s doing great and I don’t think she feels the pressure of having to defend so many titles. It’s going be tough for me. To be number one, I need to focus and get to the final stages of the tournaments. I am trying not to focus on it. I’m trying to focus on myself because I know if I bring my A-game and play my best I will succeed. Aryna says, “I am trying to concentrate on myself.”

Aryna Sabalanka won the Madrid Open 2021, but she was eliminated from this event in last year’s edition after losing to Amanda Anisimova.

Can Aryna Sabahlenka win the Madrid Open in 2023?

The Belarusian is determined to win in Madrid. Aryna is determined to make the most of the first WTA Masters 1000 event played on clay.

The Madrid Open and Italian Open provide fertile ground for preparing well for the upcoming French Open. Winning a WTA Masters 1000 event in Spain will help boost her confidence and morale for the remainder of the season.

This is going to be a difficult task, as the competition level has increased dramatically compared to last season. Elena Rybakina, and Barbora Crejcikova pose new challenges to the entire competition. Jessica Pegula, Coco Gauff and Aryna Sablalenka can all pose a threat to Aryna.

Aryna has a good chance of winning the Madrid Open Singles title and gaining valuable ranking points that can take her closer to the No.1 position. She will begin her campaign at this tournament against Sorana Cistea.
