Conor McGregor coached a team of eight members competing in TUF 31 before his comeback. McGregor was sidelined due to an injury sustained against Dustin POirier at the beginning of 2021. He promised Megan Olivi that he would make his return against Michael Chandler.
Conor McGregor recently had a conversation with UFC correspondent regarding his return and future plans. McGregor revealed some surprising details about his choice of Michael as an opponent. The Irishman has so far praised Chandler’s efforts and the entertainment that Chandler brings to the octagon.
The Irish millionaire star revealed his thoughts on his comeback fight. McGregor stated, “He’s put on some thrilling fights.” He’s eager, he is willing to fight. You’d call him a gamer. And he also has a decent fighting ability. Later, McGregor hinted that Chandler was an easy opponent, saying: “I am happy with the opposition; I do not actually care.” It doesn’t bother me .”
Both “The Notorious” and “Iron” are known for having explosive punching powers. McGregor’s left hand is a powerful weapon, while Chandler’s right remains destructive. McGregor believes he has the skills to beat Chandler on PPV. Michael Chandler has demanded that McGregor fight him since his debut 2021.
Conor McGregor is still unhappy about not fighting more than three or four fights a year
Since 2016, Conor McGregor, the Irish star, has not yet won two fights in one year. McGregor only fought 4 times since 2016, losing 3 of them. At UFC 246 he won against an older Donald Cerrone. Since his win at UFC 205, in 2016, he has not won at least twice a year.
McGregor said Megan Olivi he expected to fight 3-4 times in a calendar year. Megan asked Conor if he was interested in competing more than once per year. The UFC star responded, “I want to fight a four-three-4.” What do you think we should be able to achieve in three to four years ?”
McGregor expressed his disappointment at the injury to his leg and the time he missed during recovery. The Irish superstar is still determined to make up for lost time. He wants to defeat Chandler by the end of this year and fight three times at least in 2024.
