Donald Trump , the former president of the United States, suffered another blow on Thursday when his Turnberry Golf course in Scotland was banned. The former president’s Turnberry golf course in Scotland will not be able to host The Open Championship until he sells his property. Trump said a month ago that “everyone wanted” to see The Open Championship held at his course.
According to reports, Trump purchased his massive course in 2014, just five years after it hosted the last championship. Trump wanted to see the event returned to its original location after some minor modifications. The R&A, which organizes the event, has ruined his dream by removing Turnberry from contention.
Trump who visited the course in may was eager to host the event. R&A reportedly took this action because of his involvement in the 2021 Capitol Attack. Organisers want to avoid another similar situation, and make sure there are no threats or protests against players who participate in the event. The course won’t hold any professional events unless it sells.

Donald Trump’s family is committed to making their dream a reality
Donald Trump is a media darling. Before he became US president, Donald Trump and his family were already well-known in the finance and business industry. Trump is among the few who can afford to own a golf club. He has not changed his mind about completing the project despite this setback.
In a press release, Trump’s son said that his family has a strong connection to Scotland. “Our family is deeply connected with Scotland and our focus is to preserve Turnberry as the finest golf course in the world.” The organizers are adamant that the focus of the Open will be the Championship, the players and the course.
Recently, the 45th US President was spotted in Washington taking part in a Golf. The 45th US president is also said to be hosting a few tournaments this year, including the PGA Senior Championship. The Open is taking place in Liverpool this year in July. This will be the 13th year that The Open has been held in the North West.
