Dustin Johnson won the LIV Golf Adelaide tournament with his team on Sunday. He is in the news, however, for other reasons. This is primarily due to his alleged remarks about PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan. Dustin said on Sunday that he didn’t care about what he felt. It’s mutual .”
David Wrinkle has defended this quote, who represents Dustin Johnson, Brooke Koepka, and other LIV Golfers. Wrinkle, in an email sent to more than 20 journalists, referred to the quote as ‘erroneous’ and said that the media had misrepresented it.
Wrinkle writes: “I spoke to Dustin in Singapore this morning, and he categorically denied having made any such statement. He explained that his real answer to the question was, “no comment.” Dustin is grateful for the time he spent on the PGA Tour. He has the utmost regard for Commissioner Monahan.
Dustin Johnson resigned in June 2022 from the PGA Tour, after signing a $100 million deal with LIV Golf. Johnson has remained quiet about the new schism between LIV and PGA golf stars. Johnson is careful to not criticize the entity that has made him the golfer he is today.
Johnson has, however, commented to the media on Talor Gooch winning the individual rankings at the LIV Golf. “Well, yeah, he didn’t win. I would never want another team to win. Talor is a player I really like. He did well for us last season and played very well this week. But yes, I am glad we cut him off, to give him more .”
Talor played for Johnson’s 4Aces in LIV Golf, before he joined the RangeGoats. Dustin Johnson’s 4Aces team also won the LIV Adelaide team event with their 4Aces team. Dustin Johnson is considered one of only a few LIV golfers who will be selected for the Ryder Cup U.S. team, if any LIV players can be included in the team.

Currently, 4Aces is the leader of the team leaderboard, with 96, followed by Torque GC, with 52.
