Belal Muhammad and Burns began the fight by sizing each other up and determining their range. Burns attempted a takedown midway through the first round, but was badly on his left shoulder. After the failed takedown, he could not use his right hand. He posted it all on his YouTube channel.
Burns stated, “I jumped a little to get the right timing, but my legs were wrong.” He did a downblock and sprawled a little back, but I landed on my left shoulder. My left shoulder was absorbing all my weight and Belal Muhammad’s. The good news is that I do not need surgery. The recovery period will be two to three weeks. However, Burns not having to undergo surgery is a great blessing. He’ll be back to normal soon.
