This Saturday, former double champ Henry Cejudo is going to face the current UFC Bantamweight Champion Aljamain Sterling. The camera captured several acts at the weigh-in that gave fight fans an idea of what to expect on the fight day. The two fighters exchanged intense glances during the fight, which was also physical.
Both fighters gave fans a preview of the highly anticipated fight at the official weigh-in. Henry Cejudo took the stage first. Next, the defending champion took to the stage. Both fighters then got into each others’ faces.
When Joe Rogan announced Aljamain sterling’s weigh, Funk Master faced off against the Olympic Gold Medalist. UFC President Dana White had, as per usual, the best seats to watch the exciting face-off. Both fighters exchanged vocal blows for a few moments.
Dana White raised his hand between them as they continued to exchange words. The situation became more tense and the fight turned physical. The UFC President intervened when the former and current champions were about to get into a fight.
Henry Cejudo & Aljamain Sterling get physical in UFC 288 Faceoff
The verbal spats between them on the day of the ceremonial weigh-in almost escalated to something more intense. On stage, the fierce rivalry between Triple C & Funk Master could be seen. Both fighters continued to speak and maintain eye contact.
Aljamain Sterling Henry Cejudo were constantly exchanging words. Sterling’s hand was raised towards Cejudo and the former double champion shoved the hands of the reigning champ away. Dana White, other officials and the Funk Master intervened when Henry was pushed by The Funk Master.
Cejudo then spoke to Joe Rogan and told the audience what they can expect from him at UFC 288, on May 6. ‘Triple C’ replied,
