Henry Cejudo Stopped Training Conor McGregor After Ugly Comments to Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Father

Henry Cejudo is making his UFC 288 comeback this coming weekend. Fans are already excited about the former flyweight champ’s return, since he will compete against Aljamain sterling. Henry Cejudo recently was asked about coaching Conor McGregor. He completely denied the possibility.

Jon Jones has received advice from the 2018-19 double champion Henry Cejudo. Henry Cejudo also has worked with other notable champions such as Zhang Weili and Deiveson Figueiredo. The former Double C champion is not interested in collaborating with another double champion.

Cejudo has also given advice to Conor McGregor, as he gave feedback on him. Cejudo, aka ‘Triple C,’ explained what McGregor could do. “If he were smart he would watch it. I think that the biggest thing Conor can do is to adjust his stance. He’s heavy on the lead leg. He should go back — he is not an attacker. Conor anticipates, and he counters effectively. Man, start bringing people to you .”

Conor McGregor, since returning to the UFC in 2013, has competed four times. He’s won one fight and lost three. In his three losses, he was twice dominated by Dustin Poirier and once by Khabib Nurmagomedov. Conor’s skills and technique were deemed to have changed after his 2017 fight with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather by all MMA experts.

Henry Cejudo says “no” to coaching Conor McGregor following his comments about Khabib’s father

The majority of MMA fans want Conor McGregor to also learn how to wrestle. He is one of the best strikers. The Notorious had no problem with Chabib Nurmagomedov, Nate Diaz and Chad Mendes who are all well-known grapplers and wrestlers in MMA.

Cejudo denied any chance of working with Conor McGregor at UFC 288’s media day. Cejudo continued: “I think that he has offended too many good friends.” Conor was a hater at first and then a fan. But this guy, he has won me over. He went a bit too far by referring to Khabib’s father after his death. My manager was called a terrorist and a rat. For me, sports and entertainment are fine, but calling my manager a rat or a terrorist is just too much.

Cejudo, Mcgregor and others have argued over the years on social media. They also debated who was correct and who was incorrect in terms of fighting techniques and approaches. Henry Cejudo, an Olympic Gold Medalist is sought after by MMA athletes for his wrestling techniques.
