The 2023 Indian Premier League will see the Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians face off on April 25, following opposing results. The Titans were out of the game for most of their match against the Lucknow Super Giants, but somehow they came back to win the game in the second inning. The Titans are currently ranked fourth in the standings with eight points.
MI, on the other hand, completely controlled their matchup against the Punjab Kings. They bowled badly, and at one stage failed to reach a total that appeared reachable. The five-time champions have three victories and just as many misfortunes. They are now ranked seventh.
The only time GT and MI met in the IPL was when MI won by 5 runs. Daniel Sams, who bowled a brilliant final over to David Miller and Tim David, who won Player of Match for his unbeaten 44 off 21 balls, was the star of the show.
Hardik Pandya takes on his former team in the Ahmedabad matchup.
Jofra archer, after a long absence, made his debut with the MI’s XI. He was in good form and posed a serious threat to the PBKS batters, despite his poor returns. Mumbai will rely on the British man once again, as the bowling staff is not very strong.
Jason Behrendorff is the best MI bowler in IPL 2023. Piyushchawla also has some impressive wicket-taking explosions.
Mumbai’s weakness could be a factor in GT’s victory at Ahmedabad. Arjun Tendulkar, the captain, has been criticized recently, and there are no reliable bowlers on the team.
The Titans, on the other hand have shown that their bowling line-up is potent despite Alzarri’s absence. He will return to the match. Mohit Sharma’s comeback has been an absolute revelation. Mohammad Shami is a deadly powerplay player.
It is hard to find much information about GT’s stars. Shubman Gil is expected to score a big one, Rashid Khan was deadly at the middle overs and Hardik Pandya will harbor a great deal of resentment against his former establishment.
MI’s bowling could be the downfall of their team in Ahmedabad despite GT’s superior batting. The Titans’ results at the venue haven’t been great, but they have benefitted from the flat surface.
Mumbai Indians are a strong team and will always be in with a chance. However, the Gujarat Titans may not be their best matchup. In a T20 round, anything can happen. However, you can support the home team to win and learn two important lessons.
Prediction: GT will win in IPL Match 35.
