This postseason, the Miami Heat have been an offensive force to be reckoned with. The Miami Heat have played high-quality basketball, and their playoff run has stunned NBA fans. The Heat’s best scorer, Tyler Herro , was injured in the first round of the series after he fell while chasing down a loose basketball. The guard was diagnosed with a fractured hand and was ruled out of the rest of the games.
Herro is cleared to play basketball again, even though he hasn’t been able to play since his injury. It was expected that the broken hand would heal in six weeks. At first, there was not a timetable as to when the guard would be able to play again. Despite recent reports, Herro may return in game 3 for the NBA finals. The Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets will compete for the NBA championship title in 2022-23.
Herro had arguably the best NBA season of his life in 2022-2023. He averaged 20.1 per game, with 5.4 rebounds a 4.2 assists. He was also Miami’s second best scorer in the year. Second only to Jimmy Butler. Herro’s injury was not too costly for Miami. Duncan Robinson replaced Herro as Miami quickly made adjustments to save their season.
Tyler Herro will start his career after his return.
There is currently no indication of where Tyler Herro would play, if he returned. The young guard played really well for Miami all season. Players who return from injury are usually restricted in their minutes. Herro may be forced to sit on the bench rather than start.
Many argue, however, that Herro’s inclusion in the team could upset the stability of the team. The Heat made it to the finals even though they were the eighth seed of the East. They would need to play at the highest level to beat the Denver Nuggets. The team’s existing game plans and game plays will be crucial in this situation. Heat are hoping to get one of their top players back, even though Herro’s possible return is still speculation.
