WWE is accelerating towards Money in the Bank. In less than a week, WWE has begun filling out the ladder matches. LA Knight & Zelina Vega have been added to the list. Last night, Zelina Vega defeated Lacey Evans while Knight defeated Montez Fore.
Even though Vega’s victory is important to her, the fans are more excited for LA Knight . Since weeks, there’s been a push to get him. Knight’s growing fame led to him being cheered last night like a babyface, despite his heel status against Montez Ford. The crowd, however, refused to boo former Eli Drake and instead vilified one-half Street Profits.
Maybe the management decided to place a rocket behind LA Knight. If this is true, then they could get a megastar that will probably lead the baton in years to come. Fans chant his name wherever he goes. This is how over the top he truly is right now. WWE needs to seize the moment and shoot him.
Both men had a good match when it came to their bout. WWE made sure to give the men enough time in the show, and they delivered. Even though Knight had Ford pinned with the ropes in the final moments, the referee was blindsided, and the pinfall occurred. The former Million Dollar Champion climbed up a ladder placed in the ring after the match to avoid retrieving the briefcase.
WWE fans are hoping that LA Knight will win this year’s Money in the Bank contract
According to several reports, Knight is the leading candidate to win the Men’s ladder game. In doing so, Knight will unlock the opportunity to compete in a future World Championship. Ironically, past Money in the Bank champions haven’t been able maintain the prestige of the concept. This time, however, they are hopeful that LA Knight can turn around the fortunes to produce a magic cash-in.
WWE has announced four more qualifying matches for SmackDown next week. Butch is set to face Baron Corbin & Santos Escobar Mustafa Ali on the men’s end. Bayley is set to take on Michin, while IYO Sky will face Shotzi.
