LeBron James and Stephen Curry Going head-to-head, NBA Twitter

The first-round blockbuster series between the Golden State Warriors vs. the Sacramento Kings is finally over. The contest ended in a penultimate, last Game 7 as many predicted. The Warriors have had a terrible road record for the whole season. They managed to win back-to-back games away. Golden State won Game 7, and will advance to the Western Conference Semifinals. Stephen Curry and Co. are facing LeBron Jam and Los Angeles Lakers in the next round.

Curry had to be at his best to help the Warriors win Game 7, and he did. Two-time MVP Curry put on a historic show at the Golden 1 Center. He scored 50 points, which is the highest score ever for a Game 7! Curry’s heroics were not a one man show. Kevon Looney’s offensive and defensive rebounding was exceptional. Looney’s 21 rebounds made him the third Warrior with three consecutive 20+ rebound games in a series.

The Golden State Warriors face a formidable challenge as they head into the next round. Stephen Curry’s opponent is not a stranger to LeBron. The LA Lakers are playing outstanding basketball in the playoffs.

The Memphis Grizzlies, the second seed in the West, are on their backs after they eliminated them. The men in purple are clearly a team full of confidence. The Conference Semi-Finals are sure to be thrilling for all NBA fans after the excitement of the first-round games and the historical context surrounding James and the Warriors.

What are NBA fans saying on Twitter about the Warriors-Lakers matchup?

Many fans were excited after the Golden State Warriors defeated the Sacramento Kings. It would be the first playoff series since the 2018 Finals where LeBron Jam and Stephen Curry would face off.

In the 2021 postseason, the Warriors and Lakers had already faced off in a Play-In match for the seventh seed. Both players will not let their competitive spirit be dampened by the fact that they are playing in the same league. Social media is awash with anticipation for the most thrilling matchup this season.

Curry and James are a source of excitement for all NBA fans. Warriors-Lakers will begin in San Francisco, US on May 2nd.

Golden State will host LA in Games 1 and 2 before moving to Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4 at the Lakers’ Chase Center. Curry and James have a 3-1 head-to-head record in playoff series. In previous years, the 2022 Finals’ MVP beat the four-time winner of the MVP award. Both players are still playing the best basketball they have ever played, so the dice can roll either way.
