Michael Johnson shot his chance to fight Conor McGregor at Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. McGregor attended BKFC 41 to show his support for Eddie Alvarez and Chad Mendes, who were both former UFC competitors.
After the main event McGregor also went inside the ring to do a face-off against BKFC champion Mike Perry. Fans were ecstatic about McGregor’s future involvement with BKFC. Michael Johnson, a UFC veteran, took to Twitter to make a serious appeal to Conor McGregor. Johnson asked David Feldman, the CEO of BKFC to arrange a fight between McGregor and Johnson.
He wrote: “You don’t even come close to the main event. I’m going to take a steelpipe to the teeth, spit out those shite and still come forward to get this W! @TheNotoriousMMA are you ready to fight on the real streets like that? For that. You have some serious hands. !.”
Johnson is under contract with UFC and his last match was against Marc Diakiese in December, which he won. The fighter seems to be looking for new challenges and isn’t satisfied with his previous achievements.
BKFC’s CEO is thrilled by Conor McGregor’s appearance in the ring
Mike Perry was the one who called out to Conor McGregor, and McGregor did not hesitate to comply. McGregor gathered up the BKFC championship belt as he entered and placed it on his shoulders.
David Feldman was ecstatic to see the clips of McGregor in the BKFC ring. Feldman said in a recent interview on the MMA Hour that McGregor was great for doing what he did.
He replied: “That is awesome.” Let’s face it, he accepted a challenge he probably wouldn’t have ever been able to accept. You never know. He is under contract with UFC.
Feldman said that they do not plan to offer McGregor anything, as he currently works with the UFC. However, in the future anything could happen.
