The Punjab Lords have surpassed expectations in the Indian Head Association 2023 (IPL). Shikhar Dawan began Punjab’s journey with a victory over the Kolkata Knight Riders. Since then, they have scored two more victories. The latest win was against the Lucknow Super Goliaths.
PBKS will be looking to continue their impressive run when they face Royal Challengers Bangalore in Match 27 of IPL 2023 in Mohali on April 20, 2023.
The Royal Challengers did not perform to their potential due to injuries and player absences. The Royal Challengers are on the verge of having a fully-strength team from which to select, but they need a solution now to improve their situation.
RCB has two wins from five matches and is eighth in the league standings. They also have the second worst net run rate. Faf du Plessis’ team has also suffered a poor run of results against PBKS, having lost four out of their five last matches.
Punjab will continue to achieve the unheard of, while Bangalore will try to gain momentum and overcome the odds.
IPL 2023, PBKS vs RCB match forecast: Bangalore wants to get back on track after a disappointing loss at home.
RCB enters the match on the back of a disappointing home loss against the Chennai Super Lords. Du Plessis, Glen Maxwell and Mohammed Siraj, the only bowlers in the lineup this year, led their hosts to victory.
Bangalore has clear weaknesses against the turn. It will take them a few games to find their direction, despite the fact that they’ve tried to cover up those breaks with Mahipal Loror and Suyash Prbhudessai. Du Plessis, although he has shown significant improvement against spin, is still unable to bat through an entire innings.
PBKS, on the other hand won despite having fewer players than expected. Shikhar Dhawan is still recovering from a recent injury, so the Rulers won’t be able to win another game.
Punjab’s bowling is capable of posing a challenge to the RCB batsmen. However, their lack of penetration of spin could work in the favor of the visiting team. Rahul Chahar’s performance this year has been mediocre. Harpreet brar, a left-armer who has previously troubled Bangalore and been economical in IPL 20,23 has not taken many wickets.
RCB could, however, win by two point against a weaker opposition with a few adjustments to their tactics. Prabhudessai, Wanindu Hasaranga and others need to be given more responsibility in the team and should bat and bowl with greater frequency.
The Kings are in a good position to win this match. The Royal Challengers, however, appear to be a superior team. They should be able return to victory.
Prediction: RCB will dominate Game 27 of IPL 2020.
