Christian Horner admitted that Adrian Newey was a key part of Red Bull
Newey’s many accolades and success as a car designer are no surprise. Several rival teams wanted to hire him after his Red Bull contract ended. Christian Horner, however, said that Adrian has been a key player since the very beginning. He is very versatile.
Red Bull Powertrains will be launching their own engine in the coming years. The team has also benefited from Newey’s retention. Horner said, “He is just as motivated as ever.” He is clearly interested in the developments in Powertrains and Red Bull Advanced Technology. He covers all three pillars on the Milton Keynes campus.
Christian Horner said that Adrian Newey would work with the other executives of the team, including F1 technical director Pierre Wache as well as Red Bull Powertrains Ben Hodgkinson. This formidable collaboration will be tested to see if it can help the team maintain its top ranking for the next couple of years.
