India’s Rohit Singh nearly fell off the stairs when he walked out to the toss at the World Test Championship Final. Sharma lost control of his steps as he walked out of the dressing area. At that moment, the Indian captain was a little worried.
Sharma’s right foot became stuck as he started to descend the stairs. The momentum continued to push him forward. Then, it felt like Rohit was going to fall down the stairs.
Fans reacted quickly when the video went viral on social media. Some found it funny while others were relieved that Rohit Sharma had survived the fall.
Few fans were quick in drawing attention to a poster that was held by a Rohit Sharma fan, where he almost fell.
Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Takur and India gain an advantage
Rohit Sharma, who won the coin toss, decided to bow out first. Mohammed Siraj, who struck quickly and returned Usman Khawaja during his second over, backed up the decision. Siraj caught Khawaja behind the wicket. Marnus Labuschagne, and David Warner put on a half-century (69 runs) stand to save the team. Warner’s stay was perfect, while Labuschagne looked apprehensive and was troubled by odd deliveries that bounced off of the deck.
The Australian opener, however, lost focus and was strangled on the leg-side by Shardul Takur. Warner died while trying to pull the short ball that Thakur threw. Australia went to lunch with a score of 73/2.
