Spanish left-winger to join PSG this summer
According to reports, Marco Asensio will join Paris Saint-Germain when his Real Madrid contract expires. Asensio spent eight years in the Santiago Bernabeu. His contract with the club is due to expire this summer. He won’t be renewing his contract with Los Blancos. He is believed to be heading for Paris for his next career step.
Since the beginning of the year, Real Madrid had been in talks about a contract. Asensio, however, has decided against it. It is believed that he already has a long-term contract with PSG. As of yet, there is no formal agreement between the parties.
Asensio is expected to earn PS8.5 million per year from the proposed deal. According to reports, this is composed of a base wage and additional bonuses. Real Madrid’s campaign is not yet over. The final match of Real Madrid’s 2022-23 season is on Sunday against Athletic Bilbao.
Aston Villa, led by Unai Emery, turned down the interest of the Spanish international. Aston Villa were believed to have been prepared to make a more lucrative offer than the French Titans. They appeared to lose out in the end to the Ligue 1 Champions. Emery wanted to bring star quality into his attacking line-up during the offseason. In his first season as manager, Emery’s club achieved a respectable seventh place in the Premier League.
Marco Aseniso won a Copa del Rey this season to add to his collection of three Champions Leagues and four Club World Cups. He also has three LaLigas as well as three UEFA Super Cups and three Spanish Super Cups. The player signed his first contract with Los Blancos back in 2014.
