Young is the first top pick in recent history from Alabama State. The 21-year old QB is a great QB with many attributes that make him one the best in the draft.
He holds several records for the Crimson Tide including most passing yardage in a game. Young won the Heisman trophy during his time at Alabama, which cemented his position as one of Alabama’s best.
There are no doubt many physical shortcomings to his game and he’s not the best of athletes. The Panthers didn’t care, as they knew what pick they would make. If the Panthers had passed on him, there was a good chance that the Houston Texans might have drafted him second overall.
Bryce Young will be a special quarterback in the NFL draft of 2023
The NFL usually has players that are special and offer something different. Bryce Young’s unpredictability is what makes him so special.
Young is special for many reasons. The QB stands at only 5’10”. He also weighs less compared to many of the other QBs listed. Weighing under 210 pounds puts the QB at risk of more injuries.
The Panthers are confident in their selection. Bryce Young has high expectations for his first NFL season because he’s not a typical quarterback and was picked #1 overall. The QB will be under pressure to prove his worth when the season begins.
