Joel Embiid’s dry run of victories against the Celtics was ended when the player scored 33 point, three assists and seven rebounds. Embiid proved those who thought he was a nuisance on the court wrong. His 1-11 record against Celtics at the start of the series had made him a target for his critics. Tyrese Maxiey followed, scoring 30 points and adding three assists along with seven rebounds. James Harden, who scored 17 points for the Sixers, was third with 10 assists and 8 rebounds.
Jayson Tatum did not have a great night at his home arena, TD Garden. Boston Celtics began slowly as Tatum did not rush. Tatum eventually led the scorers, with 36 points. Tatum added 10 rebounds and five assists. He converted 11 of his 27 field goals attempts. Marcus Smart had 14 points, and Jaylen brown contributed 24. No other Boston player managed to reach double-digit scoring.

You will have a lot more energy with the crowd. I’d imagine everyone plays better at home .”
Last time the 76ers played in the Eastern Conference finals was the 2001-2002 campaign. The Philadelphia 76ers beat the Toronto Raptors to reach the Conference Finals. The team advanced to the NBA Finals in that season where they played the Los Angeles Lakers.
