When did 76ers Last Played in Eastern Conference Finals?

The Eastern Conference Semifinal between the Boston Celtics vs. the Philadelphia 76ers was a very competitive matchup. The series is a whirlwind of teams. The 76ers won Game 1 due to James Harden’s brilliant performance. But the Celtics then dominated in the following two games. The 76ers gained momentum as they won Game 4 116-115 to tie the series 2-2.

The Philadelphia 76ers easily won Game 5 115-103 and are now one step closer to the Conference Final. The 76ers held their ground and moved forward despite Jayson Tatem’s 36-point performance. Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxiey were the stars, leading the team.

Joel Embiid’s dry run of victories against the Celtics was ended when the player scored 33 point, three assists and seven rebounds. Embiid proved those who thought he was a nuisance on the court wrong. His 1-11 record against Celtics at the start of the series had made him a target for his critics. Tyrese Maxiey followed, scoring 30 points and adding three assists along with seven rebounds. James Harden, who scored 17 points for the Sixers, was third with 10 assists and 8 rebounds.

Jayson Tatum did not have a great night at his home arena, TD Garden. Boston Celtics began slowly as Tatum did not rush. Tatum eventually led the scorers, with 36 points. Tatum added 10 rebounds and five assists. He converted 11 of his 27 field goals attempts. Marcus Smart had 14 points, and Jaylen brown contributed 24. No other Boston player managed to reach double-digit scoring.

The 76ers have advanced to the Eastern Conference finals for the first time since 1992 with a win in Game 6!

The 76ers won their LAST Eastern Conference Finals back in 2001

Philadelphia 76ers have been unable to reach the Eastern Conference finals for 22 seasons. They hope to break that streak this time. After their Game 5 victory, the 76ers will push to win Game 6. Embiid answered questions about the victory post-game with a clear intention. Embiid replied, “I don’t really care.” Then he added, “We have to get another win.” This is all I can think about at the moment. Then, of course, you’ll go home. You will have a lot more energy with the crowd. I’d imagine everyone plays better at home .”

Last time the 76ers played in the Eastern Conference finals was the 2001-2002 campaign. The Philadelphia 76ers beat the Toronto Raptors to reach the Conference Finals. The team advanced to the NBA Finals in that season where they played the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Lakers dominated them that year. The 76ers were beaten 4-1 by Kobe Bryant, Shaquille o’Neal, and Shaquille o’Neal . This time, the 76ers are looking forward to making it to the NBA Finals as everything is going their way. Embiid is focused on the championship, despite winning the award for MVP. He will make the most of this chance to win the championship as well as the MVP award in the same year. The Celtics take on the 76ers in the sixth game of the season!
