Who Will the Suns be Playing Next? Phoenix Playoff Path Updates

The Phoenix Suns are a dominant force in the NBA. The Phoenix Suns have been a dominant force in the NBA for the last two seasons. The Suns roster is now as solid as a brick wall with Kevin Durant on board. In the first round series, they showed their agility and authority in playing. Many fans were eagerly awaiting the Suns-Clippers matchup. The Clippers, who were fiercely competitive and passionate to win, competed against Kevin Durant in this series.

The first game was played in Phoenix. The Suns were beaten 115-110 by the visiting LA team. Russell Westbrook, despite Kawhi Leonard’s 38-point performance, was the star of the game. Westbrook’s shooting was abysmal prior to the fourth period. The guard had made 3-19 field goals. Durant’s scoring was halted by Westbrook’s defensive play. Westbrook’s excellent defensive play against Devin Booker was the key to the Clippers’ win.

The second game was crucial for Phoenix, as a loss of two consecutive games at home could make it difficult to win the series. While Russell Westbrook and Kawhi Leonard both scored 31 and 28 respectively, LA was unable to win the series. Booker scored 38 points in 44 minutes of play for the Suns. The Suns won the game 2-1 by defeating the visitors 109-123.

Kawhi Leonard was ruled out of the Clippers Game 3 due to a sprain in his knee. Los Angeles was left to defend their own court without him. The visitors scored 136 – 130, as Booker (47 points) continued his excellent scoring form.

How will the Phoenix Suns fare in the future?

The Phoenix Suns managed to maintain their winning streak as they won Games 4 and 5 Phoenix won the series 4-1, despite the Clippers’ impressive start. Devin Booker led the Suns in scoring, while Kevin Durant & Chris Paul played their roles perfectly. The Clippers lost Game 4 by six points, despite a high scoring game. Booker’s 47-point performance was enough to send the Clippers home 130-136.

Phoenix is now in the Conference Semi-Finals. The NBA playoffs bracket shows that they will face the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets are not easy to beat, despite Booker and Co. playing exceptionally well. The Nuggets, led by Nikola Jokic have been the dominant team in the West. Denver’s roster is stacked with talent, including Jamal Murray and Kentavious Cadwell-Pope. They would also be feeling confident after a 4-1 series thrashing of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

It is obvious that the series between these teams will be thrilling. The Suns, on the other hand, have come as close to winning a championship as the NBA Finals. Denver Nuggets are also hungry to win, after last year’s first-round loss. One thing is certain, even though it’s too early to tell who will win. The team with the best nerves will be able to make it into the Conference Semifinals.
