How do the three MVP finalists perform in the NBA 2023 Playoffs
We are one step closer to having two finalists for the 2023 season. Let’s take a look at the Conference Semi-Finals and the teams that have made it this far.
Joel Embiid, the MVP of the NBA playoffs has had a great run so far. The 76ers had a 5-0 record in the playoffs before Game 2, as they swept Brooklyn and won Game 1. The 76ers lost Game 2 to the runner-ups of last season, as the series now stands at 1-1. Embiid missed Game 1 because of a knee injury, but returned to the game in Game 2. He will also be expected to play the Games that follow and is a crucial factor for Philly.
Nikola Jokic is having a fantastic Conference Semi-Finals Series in the Western Conference. In the West, the Denver Nuggets play the Phoenix Suns. The trio of Devin Booker Chris Paul and Kevin Durant does not seem to bother Kevin Durant or his team at all. Jokic, as of now, is Averaging 27,7 points with 13.9 rebounds, and 7.9 assits. The Nuggets are 2-0 up in the series after playing at home. They now travel to Phoenix to try and win three consecutive games. If they win both games on the road, they could sweep the series by 4-0.
Giannis Antietokounmpo had a less successful postseason than his two other MVP finalists. He was the Milwaukee Bucks’ outstanding regular-season leader. The Bucks were the top seed in the East heading into the first round NBA playoffs. Milwaukee was upset by the Miami Heat, led by Jimmy Butler. The Bucks were eliminated sooner than expected after losing the series by 4-1. Antetokounmpo is sure to head into the offseason with a renewed focus and a desire to come back stronger in 2019.
