Will Ferrell Announced New Golf Based Comedy Series of LIV vs PGA Tour Drama

In the fall, a new comedy series with Will Ferrell will debut. The actor is best known for his work on Saturday Night Live. This sitcom is a collaboration between Rian John and Ram Bergman. Jessica Elbaum’s Gloria Sanchez Productions will also be involved.

According to Deadline the unnamed show would feature Ferrell as a professional player who will be the face of a new, controversial league which will compete against the PGA. Ferrell has previously explored the subgenre of sports comedy in films such as Blades of Glory and Semi-Pro. It is expected that he will bring his own style to the new series.

T-Street’s involvement, which is riding high off the success of its Peacock comedy-mystery series Poker Face, adds excitement. Johnson won’t be writing or directing, but he will executive produce the series with Bergman and T-Street President of TV Nena Rodriguez.

The parody of the LIV vs PGA debate in the new Will Ferrell-led golf comedy series adds to its mystique. The show promises to be a slapstick and irreverent take on the topic. Ferrell’s character will become the face of a controversial, new league which challenges the established PGA.

Comedy is expected to make fun of the events that have taken place in the world professional golf during the last year. LIV Golf, which has been criticized and praised for its attempts to shake up the game, will likely be the target. The new series will feature a clever and cunning take on the subject that is sure to make viewers laugh uncontrollably.
