Cody lost the match to Roman Reigns, after The Bloodline interfered multiple times. The American Nightmare brought up his loss in his promos after his loss. Kevin Nash, WWE Hall of Famer, warned him that he’d lose his fans if The American Nightmare didn’t stop talking about his Mania defeat.
Kevin Nash, WWE legend, spoke on the kliq This Podcast about how he warned Cody Rhodes he’d lose his fans if he continued to whine about his WrestleMania defeat by Roman Reigns. Nash stated the following in the podcast:
Nash stated, “I understand it’s the babyface thing. He wants revenge. I know that.” If he continues to mention that he did not win at WrestleMania that is obvious since you do not have a belt. You don’t need to mention it every week that WrestleMania was a failure. I understand, they are still with your team. Keep them .”.
Kevin Nash raises a valid issue. Cody Rhodes is a great promoter, but his habit of constantly mentioning the Mania defeat might turn off some fans. If WWE wants him to be ready for a rematch with Roman Reigns then Rhodes needs to rise up from the bottom and finish what The Tribal chief started.

Fans naturally assumed that Reigns would be facing him in a rematch after his devastating defeat at WrestleMania. In a shocking twist of events, WWE made Brock Lesnar, who was not a WWE star, turn against Cody in the RAW show after WrestleMania. This led to a match at Backlash between the two.
WWE would have to start over if they wanted Cody Rhodes as the man to take down The Tribal chief. He would face multiple obstacles before he finally defeated the boss. Rhodes’ biggest obstacle will be Brock Lesnar at Backlash, when they face off in a grudge-match. It will be fascinating to see what happens between these two.
