Matt Riddle is one of the most popular stars on Monday Night Raw. In April, he returned to the ring after an injury on screen and continued his feud against The Bloodline. It appears that The Ultimate Bro is now more serious and has a changed of heart.
The former MMA fighter, who spent two years in NXT before joining the main roster in 2020, made his debut after spending two years there. During his time at Raw, he won both the US Championship as well as the Tag Team Championship. The fans loved his two reigns with Randy Orton as Tag Team Champions. When Randy Orton became injured, the tag team disbanded.
Matt Riddle recently posted a picture of himself on Twitter and stated his intentions moving forward. He said , “I am tired of being beaten and used. Last night was only a sample of what is to come.”. He added that he won’t take s**t anymore from anyone, whether it be in the WWE or on the streets.
It was an interesting change to the fans, since Riddle had been a fun-loving, goofy wrestler up until this point. A more serious fighter could do more damage and be more popular among the fans. WWE may be considering changing his character.
The 37-year old is involved in a feud against The Imperium with Sami Zayn. Riddle’s aggressive attack on Giovanni Vinci was shown in the most recent episode of Raw. He showed that he was not going to waste time in destroying his opponent.
Plans for Matt Riddle moving ahead
Matt Riddle is now done with The Bloodline story. He has been involved in this feud ever since he returned in April. The Ultimate Bro is reportedly planning to face “Ring General”,Gunther in the near future, according to a recent episode of Raw. He is scheduled to have a Gunther.
The fans will be eager to see the two men face off. Both men have different backgrounds which makes the match more exciting for the audience. As the schedule will also match their current plans, Riddle and Gunther can compete for the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam.
